Picture and quick summary from a fire this morning in CFD District 2 on Queen City Avenue. Summary from Chief Washington, photo credit to Chief Sanders.

“First-due companies: Engines 35, 24, 21 and 12, Trucks 35, 24 and 17, Squad Company 14, ALS 35, M-24 and 35, District 2 and 3. Structure Fire 2824 Queen City. At approximately 09:08 hours the Emergency Communications Center received a call reporting a building on fire at the above address.

Within 4 minutes of dispatch fire companies were on the scene reporting a working fire with “hoarder like” conditions and a person trapped on the upper floor. While the engine company personnel were in the process of stretching hose to suppress the fire, truck company members were affecting an exterior rescue of the civilian trapped via a ground ladder. Today’s rescue personifies what it means and is to be a Cincinnati Firefighter. Thank you!”
